Ted Lasso star ordered to pay massive child support sum

Jason Sudeikis has been ordered to pay ex Olivia Wilde an enormous sum of child support, as a bitter two-year custody battle draws to a close. According to new court filings obtained by <a href="https://pagesix.com/2023/09/25/jason-sudeikis-and-olivia-wilde-settle-custody-battle-actor-to-pay-27500-per-month/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Page Six</a>, the Ted Lasso star has allegedly agreed to pay his ex $27,500 ($A42,800) per month in child support for their two kids, Otis, 9, and Daisy, 6. The hefty settlement has been based on Sudeikis' reported 2023 income of $10.5 million ($A16.3 million) and Wilde’s estimated income of $500,000 ($A778,000). “The parties agree that child support for the minor children in the amount of $27,500 per month is sufficient to maintain the needs of the minor children considering Jason’s station in life … is consistent with each child’s best interest, and application of the guideline would be unjust or inappropriate in this case,” the court papers reportedly state. The legal proceedings began two years ago, and took a dramatic turn in 2022 when Wilde, who was promoting her new movie Don't Worry Darling at the time, was served legal papers while on stage delivering a speech at CinemaCon. At the time, a source told <a href="https://pagesix.com/2022/04/29/olivia-wilde-mortified-after-being-served-with-legal-papers/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Page Six</a> that Wilde was mortified over the brazen act. “It seemed unthinkable to her, and it took a moment to set in, but as mortifying as it was, she did not want to give a reaction,” the insider explained. Since then, things have improved for the couple, as they were both seen putting on a united front at Otis' soccer game in LA. "I can't answer that!": Karl's cheeky question stumps JFK's daughter

Today show host Karl Stefanovic left the US ambassador to Australia Caroline Kennedy - John F Kennedy's daughter - in fits of laughter after he posed a cheeky personal question on Wednesday morning. Stefanovic didn't miss the opportunity to play cupid for his daughter by asking the US Ambassador about the relationship status of her youngest son, Jack Schlossberg. “I hope that you don’t take any offence (to) what I am going to ask. My daughter wanted to know if your son is single?” he said. This elicited a laugh from the ambassador, who smoothly deflected the question by saying: “You would have to ask him. I can’t answer that.” Stefanovic laughed and said: “Good deflection.” The ambassador played along and said: “Your daughter must be so mad at you right now. I would be so mad if I was your daughter.” The Today show host has two daughters, Ava, 18 and Harper, 3, and continued the joke by saying he was asking on behalf of Harper. “Then there is something really wrong with you,” the ambassador quipped. Stefanovic's co-host Sarah Abo joined in on the teasing and said: “Welcome to what the rest of the nation already knows.” Schlossberg, 30, is the only grandson of former US president John F. Kennedy, and has a considerable social media following with over 100,000 followers on Instagram. Warnie stars hospitalised after romantic romp goes painfully wrong

The stars of Channel Nine’s Warnie miniseries have quite the emergency room story to share after filming a sex scene for the show hit them for six. Alex Williams and Marny Kennedy - the pair embodying the late Shane Warne and his ex-wife Simone Callahan on screen - were filming in Melbourne late in 2022 when the incident occurred. And while they can see the funny side of it all now, at the time it was a far more embarrassing - and injury-stricken - affair. As Kennedy told The Daily Telegraph, the two had been filming “a little makeout scene” - set back when Shane and Simone were in their younger years - when things took a turn. She detailed how they had been going down a corridor, and “were meant to push into the bedroom and land on the bed”. But, unfortunately for the pair, they didn’t heed the Warne-ing, and instead they “both completely missed the bed. “Alex cracked the back of his head open and I broke my right wrist.” Kennedy shared that they “ended up sitting in the emergency room together”, and that his head was wrapped in a bandage, while her wrist was strapped. To add to their situation, Kennedy said, “it was not like a normal hospital either, it was more of a place for the elderly, so it was just Alex and I with our bleached hair, fully still in wardrobe, sitting there surrounded by elderly residents.” Despite their injuries, and any lingering embarrassment, the co-stars - who had also been friends for a decade at that point - returned to set the very next day to get on with the job. Kennedy didn’t reveal whether or not anyone had taken the opportunity to adorn her cast with a Golden Duck, but that there had been some banter on set in the wake of their accident, with the actress revealing that “we took a photo of ourselves in the emergency room and then printed it onto mugs and that was our wrap [end of filming] gift to a lot of the crew." It is believed that the two-part series will go to air later in June, regardless of <a href="https://www.oversixty.com.au/entertainment/tv/let-him-rest-in-peace-viewers-slam-shane-warne-miniseries">the public outcry when the trailer first dropped during the 2023 State of Origin series</a>. Betrayed wife found not guilty of intentionally hitting husband and mistress with car

A jury has been unable to decide whether or not Christie Kennedy, 37, ran down her husband and alleged mistress, after discovering he was having an affair. The Brisbane-based woman faced District Court recently where she pleaded not guilty to two counts of malicious acts with intent to disable, denying deliberately hitting David Larkin and Zowie Noring with her BMW SUV in March, 2021. The prosecution had also presented the option of two lesser alternative charges of assault which include occasioning bodily harm while armed, but Ms Kennedy pleaded not guilty to those offences as well. Allegedly at the time of the incident, Kennedy got out of her car, grabbed Noring by the hair and repeatedly punched her while screaming obscenities, the District Court heard. Kennedy said she did not intend to hit the pair with her car and had been in shock, not realising what was going on. On Monday afternoon she was found not guilty with a majority verdict by the jury on two counts of malicious acts with intent to disable. However, the jury could not reach a unanimous or majority verdict for the alternative charges of two counts of assault occasioning bodily harm while armed. Brisbane battler treated to heartwarming surprise

Val Simpson was used to her home getting flooded three times during Brisbane’s recent weather storm. The 77-year-old would wake up everyday at 1.30am to get up and start cleaning the mess that saw her lose precious possessions, memories, her children’s toys, and her furniture destroyed. Among those destroyed possessions was a treasured poster of Aussie singer Luke Kennedy. Speaking to <a href="https://9now.nine.com.au/today/brisbane-flood-victim-val-surprised-by-today-extra-with-luke-kennedy/9de11ec0-67fb-419c-820d-008e549203b9" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Today Extra</a> about the devastating experience, Val said there was no point in complaining. "There's worse off than me," she said. Despite everything, Val kept a smile on her face, but was given a bigger reason to smile when Luke Kennedy snuck up behind her on air. "Hello Val, how are you?" he asked. "Oh my god!, Oh my god, Luke!" an excited Val said as Luke hugged her. "Val's been such a special supporter of mine over the years," Luke explained. JFK's daughter named as Ambassador to Australia

Image: Getty US President Joe Biden has announced his intention to nominate Caroline Kennedy, the daughter of former president John F. Kennedy, to serve as ambassador to Australia. Ms Kennedy, who is a longtime friend, ally and donor to Mr Biden, and who endorsed the president's candidacy early in the 2020 campaign, previously served as US ambassador to Japan in the Obama administration. In a statement, Ms Kennedy called Australia "a country that is vital to our future security and prosperity". "I am always grateful to the courageous Solomon Islanders and Australian coast watchers who rescued my father during World War II, and if confirmed, I will work hard to repay this debt," Ms Kennedy said. "I look forward to collaborating with the Government of Australia to strengthen our alliance, improve global health and increase vaccine access during this terrible pandemic and to address the urgent climate crisis. "I am excited to get to know the Australian people, learn about their fascinating country and share with them what I love most about America." Ms Kennedy, a scion of one of America's most high-profile political families, threw her support behind Mr Biden relatively early in the crowded 2020 Democratic primary process. Mr Biden also said he will nominate Michelle Kwan, a former Olympic figure skater and longtime Democratic activist, to serve as ambassador to Belize. Ms Kwan, who worked on the Biden campaign and has been pressing for an ambassador post, said she was honoured by the nomination.

Why youngest ever TED Talker got a standing ovation

A seven-year-old Australian girl has delivered a TED Talk on parenting that has seen her become an internet sensation. Molly Wright took the stage, telling adults how they had better interact with their children. She’s the youngest person to give a TED Talk, and the video of her talk has since received more than 100,000 views. “My talk today is about things grown-ups can do to shape us as children,” the young Queenslander said in the talk. Molly is the new spokesperson for the Mindaroo Foundation’s “Thrive by Five” campaign, run by Andrew “Twiggy” and Nicola Forrest. The campaign says the first 1,000 days of a child’s life are crucial for their development. “If we don’t take charge and look after our early years, then everything we do later is just a patch-up,” Nicola Forrest said. In her talk, Molly says simple interactive games like Peek-a-Boo can be literally life-changing. “Every moment is an opportunity to connect, talk and play,” she said. “Imagine the difference we could make if everyone, everywhere did this.” The young speaker also chastised parents for an over-reliance on technology, arguing it could have harmful effects on kids in the long term. During her talk, she showed a dad using his iPad and ignoring his one-year-old child who was reaching out for attention. “Kids are hardwired to seek out meaningful connections and not receiving them causes confusion and stress,” she said. “Interactions early and often matter. “Take it from me, the seven-year-old up here talking about brain science.” Molly’s talk brought the audience to a standing ovation, and has already been shown in maternity wards across Australia. The most chilling psychopaths in history

These killers performed murders you’d think could only happen in horror movies. Ed Gein Norman Bates (from Psycho), Leatherface (from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre), and Buffalo Bill (from Silence of the Lambs) are three of the most iconic fictional horror characters of all time – and they’re all loosely based on one man: Ed Gein. Also known as the Butcher of Plainfield, Gein collected women’s bodies through grave-robbing and murder from around 1945 to 1957, when he was finally caught. He used the women’s remains to decorate his isolated Wisconsin farm and to make various items of clothing. Gein passed away in 1984 in a mental institution. Charles Manson One of the most infamous ringleaders in history, Charles Manson used psychopathic manipulation to gain his cult followers in the 1960s. Not only did he murder people on his own, but he convinced his deepest admirers to commit the same brutal acts he did, resulting in some of the most notorious murders of celebrities and entertainment industry heads, including director Roman Polanski’s wife, Sharon Tate, as well as coffee heiress Abigail Folger. Manson and his cronies were sentenced to death, but California abolished the death penalty afterward; they’ve spent their lives in prison instead. Ted Bundy Ted Bundy is one of those names that is practically synonymous with “serial killer” and “psychopath.” He was known to be very sly and charming, which was the shiny veneer he used to lure his many victims. He killed at least 30 people across the United States, but it took years for the authorities to catch him, because no one was able to believe such an “upstanding” young man could do such horrible things. He is most famous for his necrophiliac tendencies, and his own lawyer described him as a “heartless evil.” Ivan Milat, AKA the backpack killer Known as one of Australia’s most cold-blooded killers, on 27 July 1996, Ivan Milat was convicted of the ‘backpacker murders’, the serial killings of seven young people that took place in New South Wales between 1989 and 1993. The bodies of the victims – five of whom were foreign backpackers, the other two Australian travellers from Melbourne – were discovered partially buried in the Belanglo State Forest, 15 kilometres south-west of the New South Wales town of Berrima. Police believe Milat may have been involved in more attacks or murders than those for which he was convicted. Now terminally ill with pancreatic cancer, Milat is expected to soon die in prison where he is currently serving seven consecutive life sentences. Triple M radio star refuses to deny MasterChef judge rumours

Triple M radio star has reacted to rumours that she is set to star in a new cooking show with former MasterChef judges, Matt Preson and Gary Mehigan on Channel7. Mick Molloy, a co-host of Kennedy Molloy with Jane Kennedy hit his peer with the confronting rumour live on air. “The Channel 7 Upfronts are on Wednesday (afternoon) and I believe there’ll be some sort of announcement about a cooking show involving them and you, you hussy!” Molloy said on Triple M. “I beg your pardon? Princess Mary has attended the official opening of the Danish Parliament, alongside her husband and mother-in-law, Queen Margrethe. The 37-year-old royal was dressed in a stunning rose-coloured pink coat by Danish-Dutch designer Claes Iversen. To add to the look, she added a matching pillbox hat and burgundy heels, as well as gloves and clutch. The classic outfit was reminiscent of American First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy, who perfected the look in the 1960s. This isn’t the first time the royal has worn the stunning coat and hat and was last seen wearing the fitting outfit during a royal visit to Latvia in December 2018. The Australian-born royal attended the highly publicised event alongside her husband, Crown Prince Frederik and the Queen’s sister, Princess Benedikte. Princess Mary performed a perfect curtsy to the monarch as she arrived at Christiansborg Palace in Copenhagen who responded by affectionately greeting her daughter-in-law. See inside Jackie O’s gorgeous vineyard home that's selling for $65 million

Jackie Kennedy’s stunning Martha Vineyard estate has been listed for an eye watering $65 million. Jackie purchased the expansive 340-acre oceanfront property, known as Red Gate Farm, in 1979. The main residence alone is a whopping 5,456-square foot property and boasts five en-suite bedrooms, two “powder” rooms as well as a chef’s kitchen. The home also included a chef’s kitchen and the property also has a two-story guest home with four bedrooms and three bathrooms. The property has been listed by the celebrity’s oldest daughter, Caroline Kennedy who said: “Forty years ago, my mother fell in love with Martha’s Vineyard.” "When she found Red Gate Farm, it was a perfect expression of her romantic and adventurous spirit. The dunes and ponds and rolling hills of Aquinnah gave her the chance to create a world where she could be so close to nature, close to her family and friends, and, most importantly, close to her beloved books. She even built a fairy treehouse for her grandchildren. “Those grandchildren are grown so now it is time for us to follow my mother’s example and create our own worlds. We hope that a new family will treasure this place as we have for three generations.” The breathtaking property was designed by Hugh Newell Jacobsen and was renovated in 2000 by Deborah Bere, Dean of the Yale School of Architecture, Situated on the edge of Squibnocket Pond, the estate has over a mile of the Atlantic beachfront as a glorious view. Ted Kennedy car crash scandal that killed Mary Jo Kopechne: Letter exposes new claims

The car crash on the US island ended the life of 28-year-old Mary Jo Kopechne and derailed Ted Kennedy’s presidential chances. On the evening of July 18, 1969, the then US senator Kennedy hosted a party on the small island for the Boiler Room Girls, a group of six women who had worked on his brother Robert F. Kennedy’s presidential campaign the year before. One of the women was 28-year-old Kopechne. Despite extensive reports on the incident, details of the events of the night have remained shrouded. Kennedy reportedly left the party with Kopechne, even though she did not bring her purse or hotel room key with her. The two drove off in his 1967 Oldsmobile Delmont 88. Kennedy said the car went over the bridge into Poucha Pond after he made a wrong turn. The letter, recently revealed by <a href="https://people.com/politics/ted-kennedy-chappaquiddick-car-accident-50-years-later/">PEOPLE</a>’s Cover-Up podcast, came from a man who claimed to have met a woman who had attended the party the night Kopechne died. The woman, referred to as “Betty”, said Kopechne had had too much to drink at the event. Betty then brought Kopechne to Kennedy’s car to rest, and then went back to the cottage. The letter claimed that Kennedy and another female guest went for a drive in the car. When the sedan plunged into the water, Kennedy and the passenger survived and returned to the party, unaware that Kopechne had been in the vehicle all along. Betty shared the story, and the letter said that was when “…the Kennedy damage control machine kicked in and informed the shocked senator.” After receiving the letter in 2018, Kopechne’s cousin Georgetta Potoski said the full story might not yet be revealed. “I’m not convinced the mystery has been solved,” she told PEOPLE. “I know there are things that we do not know about what happened that night. The truth, even if it’s not what you want to hear, at least has some dignity around it. “I don’t think there will ever be justice for the loss of her life. [But] I think the truth would make our hearts rest easier.” A week after the incident, Kennedy pleaded guilty to leaving the scene of the accident and was given a two-month suspended sentence. Later on the same day, he gave a national broadcast statement in which he said, “I regard as indefensible the fact that I did not report the accident to the police immediately.” Kennedy, who was preparing for his presidential run, delayed his campaign until 1980. His run for the country’s top office was unsuccessful, but he continued to be re-elected as senator seven more times until his death in 2009. In his posthumously published memoir True Compass, Kennedy described the incident as “a horrible tragedy that haunts me every day of my life”. </div> </div> </div> </div> </div>

Blondie’s Debbie Harry: “I escaped serial killer Ted Bundy”

Debbie Harry has made an explosive claim as she says she was once lured into a taxi by serial killer Ted Bundy in the early ‘70s. The 73-year-old is planning to reveal the entire story in her autobiography, Face It, which is set to be released in October this year. In a previous interview with <a rel="noopener" href="https://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/music/music-news/8191211/Blondies-Debbie-Harry-claims-serial-killer-Ted-Bundy-lured-her-into-car.html" target="_blank">The Sun</a>, the Blondie singer spoke about the unsettling encounter which occurred in New York City: “It was in the early ‘70s and I was trying to get across town at two or three o’clock in the morning. “This little car kept coming around and offering me a ride.” Harry then said she hopped inside the vehicle after many failed attempts at finding a taxi. “I got in the car and the windows were all rolled up, except for a tiny crack. This driver had an incredibly bad smell to him. “I looked down and there were no door handles. The inside of the car was stripped. The hairs on the back of my neck just stood up. “I wigged my arm out of the window and pulled the door handle from the outside. I don’t know how I did it, but I got out. “He tried to stop me by spinning the car, but it sort of helped me fling myself out. Afterwards I saw him on the news, it was Ted Bundy.” Once Bundy was arrested, he admitted to his lawyer that he first attempted to kidnap a woman in 1969 and implied that his first murder happened in 1972. He was only 27-years-old when his first recorded murder occurred in 1974. He went on to kill 30 women. But even after the serial killer was imprisoned, the nightmare wasn’t over as he managed to escape lockup twice.

Trump claims wife Melania is the new “Jackie O”

In the last few days, the US President Donald Trump has made a couple of outlandish statements, from calling Prince Charles the “Prince of Whales,” to claiming Queen Elizabeth had the most fun she’d had in 25 years when he visited Her Majesty during his trip to the UK. His most recent statement about his wife Melania Trump, however, has sparked a furious response online. In a recent interview with Fox & Friends, the 72-year-old US leader compared Melania to one of America’s most beloved former first ladies, Jackie Kennedy Onassis. “We have our own Jackie O today,” he said. “It's called Melania. “We'll call it Melania T.” The statement was not received so well with a number of online users, taking to Twitter to voice their displeasure. “Melania is no Jackie O,” one comment read. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"> Jackie O was the epitome of grace & beauty. “The happiest man alive”: Never-before-seen footage of JFK Jr’s secret wedding

Viewers will be able to get a glimpse into the secret wedding of John F Kennedy Jr and Carolyn Bessette later this year thanks to a new special. The special, which was first announced in 2018, will share footage shot by Kennedy’s friend during his wedding to Bessette in 1996 on Cumberland Island in Georgia. “On an island off of Georgia we came together on this 18th century plantation. In this dirty, dilapidated, shuttered church next to a pig sty,” a friend says in the preview. “No air conditioning, very little power on the island. But despite his determination, Carolyn found the fame that came with being John Jr's partner to be daunting. “She held off the proposal for about three weeks. I think it made him all the more intent on marrying her,” said Terenzino. They eventually married one another in a private ceremony, but the happiness was short-lived as three years later, the pair were killed in a plane crash as they travelled to the same island where John Jr first popped the question. The tragedy occurred on July 16, 1999 as the couple and John Jr’s sister-in-law Lauren were en route to the wedding of his cousin Rory, with John Jr flying the plane. They never made it. It was later revealed that extreme weather conditions caused the plane to crash, claiming all three lives. Their lives were cut short, during a period where the couple were still very much in love. “To say their relationship was on the rocks is just inaccurate,” said Carole Radziwill, the former wife of John Jr’s cousin Anthony Radziwill. “They loved each other – Carolyn was quite the loveable person. “She was clever, she was naughty and she had the balance of being able to be really serious and deep yet funny.” She went on to say: “I still miss her after all these years.”
